Three dancers in traditional German attire performing together on stage, with a wooden floor and a lattice backdrop.

Name : Frank Petersberger

Years Dancing : Dancing for 12 years

Why I Dance : At first the group needed more male dancers and quickly became a lot of fun, hard work and a great way to share our heritage. And always LOTS of great friends I have met along the way.

Favorite Dance and Why : The “Landler” for the beautiful melodies and the dance is a fun courting-like dance.

Connection to Germany : Many years with the BSC and Bavarian Benevolent Society. My parents and grandparents were involved in the club activities. Annual Christmas party for the kids and the annual mass and breakfast to honor those who have passed away in the last year. And of course the great picnics and GAF where great friends/extended friends who were just like family came together to enjoy and share great times with each other.

Favorite Food at German Festivals : Veal loaf/lieberkase and of course pork hocks, can’t ever get enough.

Fun Fact : I became an Eagle Scout at age 13, I was the youngest in my troop.
I still support scouting every year our family by decorating some cabins at Camp Miakonda where I bring out over 120 of my carved foam pumpkins.
