History & Background
The Waldegger is a German dance invented by the working-class from the from the Hessen region of Germany, in heavily forested middle of the country. It was meant to provide enjoyment and relaxation after long days of hard physical labor. The first recording is by Wilhelm Mühlschlegel in 1934.
